I’m so exited to be collaborating this summer with one of my favorite bathing suit companies, Kortni Jeane! I found their website through Instagram last summer and loved Kortni’s designs and their brands mission statement. Here is a link to her website to check it out!
Here are photos from the cruise I went on this summer to the Bahamas wearing my favorite piece by Kortni Jeane. We went to a few different islands and it was so beautiful! Highly recommend cruises if you have never been!
I know, for some of us, bathing suit shopping can be really frustrating especially when you want to feel confident in one. I was looking for a cute and modest bathing suit that I felt comfortable in; and Kortni’s provided that! Plus they are super cute;)
Kortni Jeane swimmers styles are high waisted bottoms with tankini styled tops. You can mix and match the different styles and patterns too! On their website, the models are actually real looking and are all different body types. This made it really helpful for me to determine what size fit my body type best.
As a brand, Kortni Jeane wants everyone that buys their suits to not only feel confident in their swimsuit, but emphasizes the importance of being confident in your own skin no matter what you wear. And I love that!
When I was younger, I actually hated that my birthday was in the summer, I usually had pool parties, or spent it at the beach. I never felt confident or comfortable in a swimsuit, and even at a young age I was so self conscience. I’m sure so many of us can identify with this.
I wanted to throw out my swim suits all together. I felt this pressure to look a certain way in them.
It has been a journey to truly love my body the way it is, and love that God made me different from everyone else. I know life isn’t just about having a perfect bikini body. I think that confidence is rooted not in how we look but in something deeper; in who God is in us. Because yes, your body is beautiful the way it is and I hope you celebrate that.
This journey is hard, but I want to remind you that beauty isn’t in a size or number, it’s not in photoshopped photo or having the perfect flat stomach. Beauty is IN you.
